SWISCA received the Best of Show Award at the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Expo in Oklahoma City, USA for its SIFTO plansifter, marking its second consecutive IAOM win and third international recognition since its founding in 2018.
SIFTO was selected through attendee voting, reflecting positive industry response to the equipment’s new sieve design and modular system. The plansifter replaces mesh screens with etched thin-metal sieves featuring a hexagonal perforation pattern, which improves precision and increases open sieve area.
The design includes stainless-steel product-contact parts and a housing-free structure, eliminating the use of adhesives and sealing materials. These features support food safety, simplify maintenance, and allow for integration into new or existing milling operations.
“This award is meaningful because it comes directly from the millers we build for,” said Andreas Kleiner, SWISCA’s Head of Research and Development.
The IAOM Expo is a long-standing industry event that gathers professionals in grain milling for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
