Bunge Global SA has completed its merger with Viterra Limited, forming a global agribusiness company with a focus on food, feed, and fuel.
Greg Heckman, Bunge’s Chief Executive Officer, stated: “Today is a defining moment for our company. Together, we’ve formed a stronger organisation with enhanced capabilities and expertise to meet the evolving needs of our customers, maximise value for our stakeholders, and fulfil our shared purpose of connecting farmers to consumers to deliver food, feed, and fuel to the world. Now, we begin the exciting work of bringing our teams and operations together, uniting our strengths to realise the full potential of this combination.”
The merger creates a global, integrated agribusiness that connects farmers from major production areas to regions with growing demand. This combination aims to tackle the complexities of modern markets by improving supply chain management and diversifying agricultural networks.
The newly merged entity boasts strong management with a history of creating value. It is expected to derive significant benefits from network synergies, improved logistics, and a more resilient financial outlook, allowing for stable cash flows and an enhanced credit profile.
Leadership remains under Bunge’s Greg Heckman as CEO and John Neppl as CFO. Viterra’s David Mattiske will serve as Co-Chief Operating Officer, partnering with Julio Garros, Bunge’s former Co-President of Agribusiness, to oversee global commercial operations and strategic initiatives.
