dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health has announced a partnership with feed software company Allix to integrate environmental footprint tracking into feed production. The collaboration will combine dsm-firmenich’s lifecycle assessment platform, Sustell, with Allix’s feed formulation software.
As part of the agreement, Allix will launch a sustainability module powered by Sustell. The tool will allow users to analyse the environmental impact of animal feed directly within the Allix system. Users can input data into Sustell while formulating feed, streamlining reporting on emissions and sustainability performance.
The new module will be offered as an add-on to existing Allix subscriptions. The integration is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
David Nickell, Vice President of Sustainability & Business Solutions at dsm-firmenich, said the partnership supports the goal of building a connected data ecosystem from farm to fork. Bruno Duranthon of A-Systems, the developer behind Allix, said the move will help users improve sustainability in feed production and align with broader environmental goals.
The initiative aims to support feed producers, farmers, processors, and retailers in reporting emissions and meeting sustainability targets across the food industry.
