Cefetra appoints new regional manager to strengthen grain buying operations

Cefetra has appointed Brian Dugdale as regional origination manager to oversee its grain buying operations in northern England and Scotland. Dugdale, who brings years of experience in the agricultural sector, will be responsible for expanding the company’s operations from Yorkshire to the Central Belt of Scotland.

Cefetra, part of Cefetra Ltd, serves industries in animal nutrition, food, and drink. The company has regional offices across England and Scotland and a national team of grain buyers.

Dugdale previously worked as regional sales manager for Mole Valley and as business development manager for Farmway. In his new role, he will collaborate with national origination manager Samantha Holdstock to grow the northern England and Scotland buying team and expand the company’s presence in more grain-growing areas.

Dugdale expressed enthusiasm for joining Cefetra, citing the company’s strong trading platform and ambitious plans. He noted that his focus would be on team development and expanding grain trading efforts. “If you make people’s jobs easier by supporting them, they can reach their full potential,” he said.

Holdstock welcomed Dugdale’s appointment, highlighting his experience in sales and management as valuable assets for Cefetra’s growth and expansion in the grain market.

Cefetra, founded in 1992, has an annual turnover of over £1.5 billion and is headquartered in Glasgow.
