Denys Bashlyk: Ukrainian and Czech Ministries of Agrarian Policy agreed to create a platform for sectoral cooperation

This was stated by Denys Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation, during a bilateral meeting with Marek Vyborny, Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, in Prague.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to

  • The Czech Republic to provide advisory and export assistance to the Ukrainian agricultural sector on its way to European integration;
  • Launching a joint project in the field of aquaculture;
  • Prompt resolution of problematic issues arising in the course of bilateral trade, in particular in the field of veterinary control.

The parties also discussed the launch of a platform for cooperation between industry associations so that companies interested in cooperating with Ukraine have a transparent connection with Ukrainian business, which will have a positive impact on the reconstruction of our country in the future.

“The Czech Republic has invaluable experience on the path to European integration, which Ukraine needs now. Therefore, I would like to thank the Government of the Czech Republic, in particular, the Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, Marek Vyborny, and the Czech people for their support and willingness to cooperate. For its part, Ukraine will do its utmost to facilitate Czech business, enhance the development of interstate logistics and bilateral trade,” summed up Denys Bashlyk.
