The Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) organisation, formed in 2003 and an amalgamation of UKASTA (UK Agricultural Supply Trade Association), the FMA (Fertiliser Manufacturers Association) and a group of leading crop protection distributors providing agronomic advice, lobbies at both UK and EU levels on behalf of members to influence and inform policy makers.
It has over several hundred members in the Agri supply industries, including – Animal Feed; Crops Protection and Agronomy; Distributor Fertilisers; Grain; Oil Seeds and Seeds.
The organisation lobbies policy makers and stakeholders; Delivers key information; Provides Trade Assurance and offers key Technical Support. The AIC have close contacts with Food Chain ‘partners’ from Farmers to Supermarkets and works with them in serving the Food Chain to deliver best practice in modern commercial UK Agriculture.
