Composites made of carbon/glass fiber and foam cores have become the new choice for the sports equipment. The rigid and strong PMI foam is an ideal material for lightweight products because it can provide the high specific strength. The capacity of obtaining complex geometry shapes by thermoforming or CNC also make it to achieve the mass production.

Under the heat and pressure, durable composites parts, which have extremely low weight but high strength, can be obtained by the PMI foam and fiber with different kinds of resins. These composites are perfectly suited for sports equipments such as bicycle wheels, skis, rackets and surfboards. It is helpful for the athlete to challenge the limits of human beings.

Medical Apparatus

X-ray and CT scans are used in the clinical diagnosis to inspect the body, in order to obtain the high definition images, increasing the dose of radiation is adapted, but the exposure to radiation has big risk of developing cancer or other diseases.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard. The flight of UAVs may operate with various degrees of autonomy: either under remote control by a human operator or autonomously by onboard computers.

UAV originated mostly in military applications, their use is rapidly expanding to commercial, scientific, recreational, agricultural, and other applications, such as policing, peacekeeping, and surveillance, product deliveries, aerial photography, agriculture, smuggling, and drone racing. The challenge right now is how to extend its flying range, composites with PMI foam as the sandwich structural core can dramatically reduce the weight of the UAV and offer excellent mechanical properties.


Current, Onshore blades have the lengths up to 60 meters, and the length of offshore blade can even reach to 100 meters. The increase length undoubtedly will increase the loads of the blade, which place higher structural demand for the other components. So the weight reduction of the blade is becoming more and more important.

Comparing to other foam core, PMI can provide the same mechanical properties with low density, which can reduce the weight of the composites components sharply, and because of its fine cell size, resin uptake is also less.

Home Elevators 

If a customer needs to select a home elevator, there needs ideally to be a clear and simple understanding of the type and use of the elevator, its limitations and indeed its operating abilities. In general, of course, the home elevator is mostly installed in private residential properties as it needs to be the kind of elevator that can simply be used by anybody…..

The speed of a home elevator should generally not exceed 0.4m/s, and it’s speed without the ‘car’ door should not exceed 0.3m/s.  The stroke of the car should not exceed 12m, and the rated load should not exceed 400KG. Generally, household elevators are basically three types – traction elevators, screw elevators, and hydraulic elevators.

Hydraulic elevators…… These are a relatively common type of household elevator. These are widely used in both North America and Europe. However, the hydraulic elevator, can have certain shortcomings such as oil, leakage, environmental pollution, and excessive operating noise. These shortcomings are generally not acceptable in today’s modern building environments and thus the hydraulic machine is not in very extensive demand these days and sales of the product are generally falling.

Traction elevators ….These elevators have the advantage of being space saving. They are also environmentally friendly in terms of their usage. The traction elevators do sell well right now and they will probably continue to do so in the future. Demand for such elevators in the immediate timeline seems relatively certain.  

Screw elevators ….Key to the operating structure of this type of this lift is the ‘nut screw’ which drives it.  It has the advantage of overall structural safety and fastening. No ‘bottom’ pit is needed and there is a self-contained shaft. For sure, these lifts generally offer good space inside. It is also a common elevator choice where there is a range of widely different and quite particular building environments.

early rotation failure

In the use of bearings, problems are often encountered, that is, the bearings are qualified after testing, but the bearings are stuck after installation or the early rotation failure during use fails. The main manifestations are the stagnation of rotation, severe peeling of the working surface, severe wear of the cage and even distortion and fracture.

Analysis of failure results shows that there are not many quality problems that belong to the bearings themselves, most of which are caused by improper installation and use. For this reason, high-temperature bearings make a superficial review of common bearing failure modes and mechanisms, in order to play a role of attracting a lot of attention. Bearing failure mechanisms:

Contact fatigue failure …..refers to the failure of the bearing working surface under the effect of alternating stress. Contact fatigue spalling occurs on the bearing working surface, which is often accompanied by fatigue cracks. It first occurs from the large alternating shear stress below the contact surface, and then expands to the surface to form different spalling shapes, such as pitting or pitting. Exfoliation into small pieces is called shallow exfoliation. Due to the gradual expansion of the exfoliation surface, it often expands to the deep layer, forming a deep exfoliation. Deep spalling is the fatigue source of contact fatigue failure.

Wear failure…… refers to the failure caused by the continuous wear of the metal on the working surface caused by the relative sliding friction between the surfaces. Continued wear and tear will cause gradual damage to the bearing parts, eventually leading to loss of bearing dimensional accuracy and other related problems. The wear may affect the shape change, the increase of the fit clearance and the change of the topography of the working surface, which may affect the lubricant or make it contaminated to a certain extent and cause the complete loss of the lubricating function, thus causing the bearing to lose its rotational accuracy and even fail to operate normally. Wear failure is one of the common failure modes of various types of bearings. 

Abrasive wear…..refers to the wear caused by the intrusion of hard particles or hard foreign objects or abrasive debris on the surface of the bearing between the working surfaces of the bearing and the relative movement of the contact surface, often causing furrow-like abrasions on the working surface of the bearing. Hard particles or foreign objects may come from the host or from other adjacent parts of the host system and are fed into the bearing by the lubricant. 

According to the form of wear, it can be divided into common abrasive wear and adhesive wear.

Adhesive wear…. refers to uneven friction on the friction surface due to micro-protrusions or foreign objects on the friction surface. When the lubrication conditions are seriously deteriorated, local friction generates heat due to local friction, which can easily cause local deformation of the friction surface and friction micro-welding. When the surface metal is partially melted, the force on the contact surface will tear the local friction welding point from the substrate and increase plastic deformation. This cycle of adhesion-tearing-adhesion constitutes adhesive wear. Generally speaking, slight adhesive wear is called abrasion, and severe adhesive wear is called bite.

Fracture failure…. The main reason for bearing failure is the two major factors of defect and overload. When the applied load exceeds the strength limit of the material and the part breaks, it is called overload fracture. The main reason for overload is sudden host failure or improper installation. Defects such as micro-cracks, shrinkage holes, air bubbles, large foreign objects, overheated tissues, and local burns of bearing parts can also cause fractures at the defects during shock overload or severe vibration. It should be noted that during the manufacturing process of the bearing, the original inspection of raw materials, forging and heat treatment quality control, and process control can be used to correctly analyse the existence of the above defects through instruments. In the future, control must be strengthened. But in general, the most common bearing fracture failures are overload failures.

Rated and Actual Power  – understanding the difference 

The difference between the rated power and the actual power of the motor means that the motor is in the best working condition under this data. The rated voltage is fixed and the allowable deviation is 10%. The actual power and actual current vary with the size of the load being dragged; If the load to be dragged is large, the actual power and actual current are large; if the load to be dragged is small, the actual power and actual current are small.

The rated power of the motor is not equal to the load power. Because when selecting the motor capacity, the future aging of the machine being dragged must be considered, so a margin must be added to the mechanical load power. The power level of the motor is not exactly equal to the calculated power of the machine, but the power level of the motor must be increased up, so the power of the motor is generally greater than that of the driven machine.

If the actual power and actual current are greater than the rated power and the rated current, the motor will be overheated and burned; The actual power and the actual current are less than the rated power and the rated current, which will cause material waste.

Their relationship is:- Rated power = rated current IN * rated voltage UN * root 3 * power factor. Actual power = actual current IN * actual voltage UN * root 3 * power factor

Insulation ‘facts and figures’ reference Shengzhou Liming small motors 

The insulation elements reference the company’s motor products includes the inter-strand, inter-turn, row, inter-layer and ground insulation of the coils, and various end supports or fixings of various insulation members and connection and lead insulation. 

The main insulation of a coil refers to the insulation between the coil and the body and other windings. It is also commonly called insulation to ground.

Interturn insulation refers to the insulation between turns of the same coil. Inter-strand insulation refers to the insulation between strands within the same turn, and is generally the insulation of the winding wire itself. The insulation of the motor is an important factor that determines the service life of the motor, so the insulation materials must be properly selected and placed. 

Asynchronous motor stator winding insulation is divided into slot insulation and phase insulation (interlayer insulation is not needed here). Slot insulation is used in the slot, which is the insulation between the winding and the iron core. 

Phase insulation, also called end insulation, is used for insulation between two windings at the end of the winding. Interlayer insulation is used for insulation between the upper and lower layers of the double-layer winding. The insulation material is the main insulation material selected according to the insulation level and voltage level of the motor, and is equipped with appropriate reinforcement materials to protect the main insulation material from mechanical damage.

Nowadays, Punching is usually the most cost effective method for creating holes in sheet metal materials from medium to high production volumes. The process, when a specially shaped punch is used to create multiple usable parts from a sheet of material is known as blanking. In metal forging applications the work is often punched while hot, and this is called hot punching. Slugging is the punching in which punch is finished as soon as the metal fracture is complete and metal is not removed, but still held in hole.

Punch and die is often made of tungsten carbide (tungsten carbide punches and dies) or hardened steel. A die is located on the opposite side of the work piece and supports the material around the perimeter of the hole and helps to localise the shearing forces for a cleaner edge.

There is a small amount of clearance between the punch and the die to stop the punch from sticking in the die and so less force is needed to make the hole. The amount of clearance needed depends on the thickness, with thicker materials requiring more clearance, but the clearance is always greater than the thickness of the work piece. 


The clearance also depends on the hardness of the work piece. The punch press forces the punch through a work piece, producing a hole that has a diameter equivalent to the punch, or slightly smaller after the punch is removed. All ductile materials stretch to some extent during punching which often causes the punch to stick in the work piece. In this case, the punch must be physically pulled back out of the hole while the work is supported from the punch side, and this process is known as stripping. The hole walls will show burnished area, rollover, and die break and must often be further processed. The slug from the hole falls through the die into some sort of container to either dispose of the slug or recycle it.

What is a (double offset) high performance butterfly valve?

A High-performance butterfly valve is generally made to use on the high-pressure piping system. The high-performance double offset butterfly valve, used in higher-pressure systems, is offset from the centre line of the disc seat and body seal (offset one), and the centre line of the bore (offset two). How it works?

The double offset design of the Huamei High-Performance Butterfly Valves assures reduced seat wear and bi-directional, zero leakage shut off throughout the full pressure range.

At the initial point of disc opening, the offset disc produces a cam-like action, pulling the disc from the seat. This cam-like action reduces seat wear and eliminates seat deformation when the disc is in the open position.

As the valve closes, the cam-like action converts the rotary motion of the disc to a linear type motion to effectively push the disc onto the seat. The first step is to produce a silica sol casting mould. The mould is usually made of aluminum. Now, it is very cheap to make a casting mould. For customers who co-operate with us for the first time, we are also willing to share mould costs with customers.

Heart disease risk is not only relates to weight, but the site body fat lies in. Middle aged men with a pot belly might at a greater risk for a sudden death, and the risk will increase if the belly gets bloating.Many people mistook the waistband as waist circumference. But the standard measuring site is above your hip bone and the feet should be apart in the distance of 30-40cm.
